I hope you are doing well. I’m writing to give an update on Güz. We received a voice message from the shelter last weekend, but we weren’t able to reach the number afterward, so I thought I’d write instead.

Things are going really well with Güz. He is very used to us by now and feels very comfortable with us. His health and appetite have been good overall. We’ve been to the vet a couple of times, but nothing serious—he had some skin sensitivity from his harness and clothes, and once a small scratch on his eye, which we treated with eye drops. He is now completely fine. Aside from these minor issues—and his strong dislike of rain (which is not ideal in Belgium, haha)—he hasn’t had any major problems since we adopted him. As you mentioned, he was already an easy dog, but lately he has also started listening to us even better. In fact, this morning we managed our first fully off-leash forest walk. We can easily take public transportation with him and go to cafés and restaurants without any problem. I’ve even taken him to the office a couple of times, and he attended an academic talk! (while sleeping on my lap ) He is always gentle, very social, curious, and kind. Honestly, we couldn’t have imagined a better dog.
