Dear Jos,

We are writing to give you an update on how things are going with Guus (now, Güz ). He has been unexpectedly calm at home — affectionate and playful, yet respectful of our space when we’re busy. We feel that he’s becoming less anxious and more secure every day. He’s very responsive, gentle, and well-behaved. We’re taking him out more than three times a day, and he rarely stays home alone. When he does, he’s super excited to see us afterward, even after 5 minutes! The only issue we had at first was that he peed inside quite a bit, but he’s already made a lot of progress with that.

We went to the vet today — he’s healthy. We got pills for internal and external parasites, and I wanted to ask if he was recently treated for parasites so we can adjust the timing if needed.

The vet also mentioned that the chip information hasn’t been updated yet. We didn’t know the name currently registered, and at first we worried that it might still be the previous owner — but we assume it’s the shelter. The vet said it might take some time for the update, but we wanted to mention it just in case.
